  • Back from DC

    Back from DC last Monday.

It was an awesome trip! So awesome to see teens stepping out of their comfort zone to share their faith. So awesome to see a 12 year old praying for a 20 year old guy. So awesome to see not so young people like me encouraged by young people like you. So awesome to make new friends. So awesome to hear from a local of "the hood" encouraged that inspite of its reputation, we still showed up in this neighborhood to tell them they are loved.

    NO TOMORROW!

  • DC Trip with GE

Going this Sunday for Mission trip in Washington, DC with the Global Expeditions! It's gonna be awesome!

I went for the Leadership Immersion in Garden Valley, TX. It was good to see the good ol' Teen Mania campus again and I had a blast! It's like having a spiritual retreat and it refreshed my spirit! We also had low ropes course. It was very challenging for me 'coz I'm not athlethic like at all, but I had fun! Learned something from the ropes, too, about the importance of unity, communication, trust. Sharing your strength, and laying down your pride to ask from your team mates for their strength in your weakness.

Oh, btw, in 2004 we used to have to drive about 40 minutes to be able to go to Wal-Mart there and to go to IHOP to have coffee, now it's only 15 minutes! And they have this awesome cafe too, just 15 minutes drive away! My team mates went there to have iced coffee when we had our free time. I loved hanging out with my team mates, they are awesome! I'm gonna see them this Sunday. I'm excited! I am gonna miss my husband, though. I will be away from him for 8 days :( .

    Well, that's my update!

  • Hey, happy New Year! lol... been a while, huh? Well, busy on this side. Btw, you guys gotta see the End Of The Spear. It's about the missionaries that were killed in Ecuador. I read the book, Beyond the Gates of Splendor, the movie did justice on that book. So, ya.. go to the theater and see the movie.

  • Yesterday was Bed Race to raise fund for Jacksonville's City Rescue Mission. My husband and I volunteered to help out. We had a blast! 22 teams participated. 22 beds were decorated for the race. It was freezing cold yesterday but still we had a ton of fun! They decorated their beds with different themes. There's Lion King, Wedding Crasher, Rocky, Wizard Of Oz, Pirates, etc. It's fun to watch the teams run their beds with a rider on it. There are businesses, churches, schools, and families that participated in the race. The volunteers helped organize the event. This was the 2nd annual Bed Race and we are looking forward again to participate next year.

Today, went to Worship Service, the message was about The Coming of Christ for His Saints. One important thing I learned is for all Christians to have that sense of urgency, that Jesus is coming soon and that we shouldn't be selfish about our salvation, that we should not be ashamed to share the Gospel. Imagine millions of souls dying without Christ just because we are so timid and ashamed of the Gospel. Just imagine.

  • Good morning! Been a while uh? Yeah, got too busy. Weekend was awesome! Got to spend time with my sisters and mom. We watched the movie 'In Her Shoes'. Pretty good movie about sisters and their grandma.

We wish we had that kind of relationship with our grandmas. We only have one grandma left. My dad's mom died when I was in the Philippines for a short period to finish my college. She had a stroke . I got to share about Christ with her but I don't know the result and that's the saddest part about it . My mom's mom is still with us but she also had a stroke. She can't walk anymore and it's hard for her to communicate. She stays at my mom's house. Her children take turns taking care of her. When I used to stay at my mom's, I get to share taking care of her. It's pretty hard and fun, yep, my grandma is a fun person . We love her. I try to share Christ with her, I don't know if she understands, I do hope so.

I ask God about disabled people, especially the mentally challenged, how will they understand about the Gospel? Is there a especial place for them? One thing I know though, that God is merciful and He knows what He is doing so, I just leave it all to Him.

Oki doki. Maybe I'll post again later. You guys take care. God bless!

  • Let's pray for the people in the Gulf Coast. I can say that Katrina is the worst hurricane to ever hit the USA. If you can help monitarily, donate to CBN.com, Salvation Army, and the American Red Cross. I know there are more ways of helping. We all have to step up to the plate. This is our tsunami. This is really devastating. It may not seem like it, but, God is still in control!

  • She is so pretty!

  • Our new addition to the family! Selah Caroline David, my first niece! She was born August 11th 2005 1:00 AM. 6 lbs 9oz 20 inches. Isn't she pretty? We are so excited! I pray this child will grow in the knowledge of God. That He will bless her indeed and expand her territory. Praise God for this gift of life! Congrats to my sister, Lyn and to my brother in law, Andrew.

Oh, what's new with me? Well, my husband and I will be volunteering at City Rescue Mission here in Jacksonville. The City Rescue Mission here is privately funded. The contributors are individuals, families, business, churches etc. That's a good thing, you know, so the Mission can stay Faith Based and Christ Centered. We had our volunteer orientation this morning. We are excited about this! I've never really done any volunteering here in our city. I've been on mission trips outside the contry and in New Orleans but not in our own backyard, so I know this is gonna be an awesome experience! I'll probably be volunteer as a nurse since they always need a nurse and probably serve meals or do kitchen work with my husband. I don't know, we'll find out later. The volunteer coordinator said it will take about two weeks to process so I guess we'll hear from her in two weeks. Well, I think that's about all I can say for now. Will post again whenever. Good and Godly day y'all!
